Marcelo Ortiz-VillavicencioDoctoral Candidate

Marcelo Ortiz-Villavicencio received his B.A. and M.Sc. in Economics from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) in Ecuador. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he worked as a Research Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank and as a Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer in the tech sector. His research focuses on econometrics, with particular interests in causal inference, machine learning, difference-in-differences, and panel data methods.
