Scott MastersonMaster's Student
Scott Masterson joins us from Detroit, Michigan. He is a 4+1 master’s student in Economics at Emory University, where he also completed a B.S. in Applied Math and Statistics, and B.A. in Economics, graduating summa cum laude. As a member of the Mathematics Honors Program, his thesis titled, "Modified Functional Principal Component Regression," developed a novel, functional approach to estimate pollution levels in Urban areas. Scott is a 2024 Trevor Evans Award recipient for outstanding performance among undergraduate majors in the Department of Mathematics at Emory University. Scott is a student-athlete throughout his time at Emory, competing for Emory Cross Country and Track and Field. His interests include microeconomic theory and food policy, especially food deserts.
