NASMES 2026 Conference

The Econometric Society

2026 North American Summer Meeting, Atlanta, Georgia

June 4 - 7, 2026

Welcome

Hashem Dezhbakhsh, Chair Local Organizing Committee

Tao Zha, Chair Scientific Committee

On behalf of the Emory Department of Economics, we are delighted to welcome you to the 2026 North American Summer Meetings of the Econometric Society (NASMES) at Emory University. As one of the nation’s leading research universities, Emory is proud to foster excellence in economics scholarships and to provide a collaborative environment for advancing knowledge.

Beginning in 2026, the North American Summer Meeting (NASMES) will be the Society’s primary North American meeting, taking over the role previously held by the Winter Meeting. This transition elevates NASMES as a central platform for presenting cutting-edge research across all fields of economics.

The Scientific Program Committee is working to curate a high-quality program that fosters intellectual exchange among senior scholars, early-career researchers, and advanced PhD candidates preparing for the job market. The Local Organizing Committee has arranged so the participants housing, presentation venues, and dining facilities are all in one location at the Emory Conference Center Hotel (ECCH) for convenience of the participants.  This reduces commuting time and location hoping, allowing more time for scholarly interactions. ECCH is adjacent to Emory University campus in natural surroundings and a lush and relaxing environment.

We are honored to host this gathering in Atlanta—a city that truly embodies world-class culture, innovation, and hospitality. Known as the “City in a Forest” for its lush tree canopy, Atlanta combines natural beauty with vibrant urban life. It is home to the world’s busiest airport and is also a global hub for business and creativity, boasting a thriving music scene, a rich Civil Rights legacy, and a dynamic culinary culture. We hope that while you are attending the conference, you are able to experience the energy and charm that make Atlanta one of America’s most livable and exciting cities.
