Tao Zha Featured as Panelist at the 29th Harvard College China Forum
Professor Tao Zha was invited as a distinguished speaker at the 29th Harvard College China Forum on April 11-12, 2026. He joined the panel “The Global Economy,” with Jason Furman (former chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers), Shenglin Ben (former China CEO of JPMorgan Chase), and Yasheng Huang (Vice Dean at the MIT Sloan School of Management). The Harvard forum brings together leaders from business, academia, and government to discuss a wide range of topics, including economics, business, arts, sciences, and literature. Past keynote speakers include Nobel laureate Oliver Hart, Henry Paulson, Stephen Schwarzman, and Mark Cuban.

Stephen O'Connell Awarded Grant from CEPR's ReCIPE Compact
Congratulations to Associate Professor, Stephen O'Connell, whose proposal, “Qualitative Insights into Livelihoods Policy and Social Cohesion: Follow-up Study on Post-Conflict Reintegration in Iraq” has been selected for funding as part of the CEPR's ReCIPE Compact Research Grants.
The Reducing Conflict and Improving Performance in the Economy (ReCIPE) programme, established in April 2024 and funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) pursues a research agenda that aims to provide a better understanding of the links between conflict, economic growth and public policies. The objective of ReCIPE is to fund cutting-edge research that could be published in leading academic journals while simultaneously being relevant to the policy dialogue in low- and middle-income countries.
